Zubaida Bello
Zubaida Bello is a poet and member of the Urban Word NYC Youth Board. She has performed her original poetry at the Apollo Theater and New York Live Arts, and she has been honored by the Black Lives Matter club at her school. She was also a lead performer in the Page Meets Stage Series where she shared her experiences being Nigerian, Muslim, and a young woman of color in America alongside veteran poet, Amir Sulaiman. A junior at Uncommon Preparatory Charter High School in Brooklyn, in her free time, Zubaida enjoys reading and skateboarding.
