Walt Nygard
Walt Nygard was born in Portland, Oregon, into an Army family. He grew up in various locations stateside and overseas. He served in the United States Marine Corps, Viet Nam, Okinawa and the Philippines. He graduated from the University of New Mexico with a degree in English and Art. He is a member of Veterans For Peace, Warrior Writers and a founding member of Combat Paper NJ, now known as Frontline Paper. His art and writing has appeared in Warrior Writers anthologies, most recently “Sound Off” produced by Post Traumatic Press and Warrior Writers NJ.
