Sophia Medina (she/her) is a queer Puerto Rican-Dominican who was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She is a rising senior at The Scholars’ Academy high school in Rockaway. She keeps herself busy with school clubs, the Queens Teens Artist Apprenticeship, and the Letters for Destiny community service organization. First place winner of the Brooklyn Public Library Ned Vizzini contest for prose, Sophia is an avid writer and hopes to write and illustrate a children’s book of her own in the near future. In her free time, Sophia enjoys creating art and animatics.
