Sherri Pullum is a versatile actress with stage, independent film and television credits. She has received positive reviews for her work, including favorable mention from the New York Times for her role as Hermia in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. In 2014, Sherri created Turning Scars into Stars, a one woman show in which she shares intergenerational stories of women cancer survivors.
Sherri is also a producer, writer, director and seasoned marketing professional who combined her love of the performing arts with her marketing experience to birth Pullum Productions, a company that specializes in creating, cultivating and producing imaginative work for stage, video and television.
Through her company, Sherri co-produces From Ashes to Angel’s Dust: A Journey Through Womanhood with author, playwright and poet Zoë Flowers. Along with performing in this emotionally charged ChoreoDrama, Sherri is the dramaturge and co-writer of the vignettes. Together Zoe and Sherri have presented many successful readings, showcases and performances throughout the country including the Harlem Book Fair’s Phillis Wheatley Awards at Columbia University, Bergen Community College in NJ, Nuyorican Poets Café in NYC, the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence’s Biennial Statewide Conference, the DC Theatre Festival just to name a few.
Throughout her career, Sherri has been dedicated to teaching and inspiring through Arts Education through local and national community outreach programs and after school programs. In 2010, Sherri launched Drama-Cize, an arts education program that uses drama as a tool to increase self- esteem, nurture creativity, promote tolerance, and build communication and presentation skills.
This year, Sherri is starring in and co-producing with Soundbooth TV, a television series pilot, Cherri Red’s Sweet Escape about family, love, purpose and manifestation.
