Monique Arrucci, a Brooklyn native, joined the U.S. Army in 2002, after 9/11, and served 8 years with one tour to Iraq in 2004-2005. Upon her return, to the states, she achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Currently, Monique played Jess/Commander in Combat Conversations: Families Affected By War (directed by Fay Simpson) with Impact Theater at The Banana Factory. In 2018, she performed in the Blue Ensemble of Twelfth Night (directed by Oskar Eustis) with The Public Theater’s Shakespeare in the Park at the Delacorte. Monique also played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet (directed by Lori Parquet) with the Military Resilience Foundation at Nola and Joe’s Pub. In 2016, she wrote and recorded a song She’s Not Coming Back (with Terry Radigan) on a retreat with SongwritingWith:Soldiers, performed at City Winery in 2018. Monique attends Acting class with the Public Works Military Resilience Foundation, De-cruit with Stephan Wolfert and Linklater Technique with Dave Demke, Comedy Improv Workshop with Women Veterans Empowered & Thriving, and a Writing Workshop with Jenny Pacanowski. Fun Facts- Monique was a professional DJ, back-up dancer, and taught step aerobics, calisthenics, and dance.
