Miguel was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. He was inspired to join the Army at age 19 by his father, Miguel J. Faña, who served for 22 years, including two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. Miguel Jr. ended up going to the same location for Basic Training as his father (Fort Sill, Oklahoma) and after, went through Advanced Individual Training in Fort Huachuca, Arizona. After serving overseas in Camp Humphreys, South Korea, he then went to the University of Massachusetts, Boston, where he double majored in Music and Theatre. He has since enjoyed an acting career that included a regional tour with New Repertory Theatre’s Classic Stage Company, earning his Master’s in Fine Arts Degree in Acting from the University of Tennessee, and roles on TV shows like Orange is the New Black and The Good Wife. He would like to honor his fellow veterans for their courage, bravery, and love. @alejandro_Fana_banana
