Jibeh Fatty is a beautiful queen from Gambia who is not afraid to express herself through fashion and speak her mind. She is interested in women’s rights, including discrimination against black women and how some women are treated globally. Jibeh directed a documentary film that explores her relationship to Islam and being Muslim in the Urban Explorers City Lore after-school and summer program. Her poem called African Oxygen explains what some women face and how they get manipulated to change their way of life and appearance. She is a sophomore at New Design High School.
