Darian Dauchan and Brian Dykstra take their meta-theatrical comedy of spoken word poetry and politics to the Nuyorican Poet’s Cafe. Directed by Margarett Perry, two long-time friends have been commissioned to write a “virtual” play for a theatre shut down due to the pandemic. It’s been a helluva year and Darian and Brian are doing their best to create as they long to be back in front of a live audience—breathing the same air with their friends and fans.

In an evening hosted by Advocate of Wordz, this filmed piece will be given new life as it is screened along with performances from Darian, Brian, and guest poets, and a Q&A with the creative team. This special event is presented by Poetic Theater Productions, Twilight Theatre Company, and the Nuyorican Poets Café.

This presentation will be a streamed broadcast of the live performance. Ticket holders will be sent a link to access the stream online one hour prior to the broadcast.
