Elliot Babilonia (they/he) is a queer and transgender poet, musician, actor, singer and activist of Dominican and Puerto Rican heritage. They were born and raised in the Bronx and began writing poetry at a young age. They were on the front cover and featured in his school’s campus-wide poetry book Bronx Hearts Rising (2020) and was also featured in another campus-wide poetry book Hidden Faces (2022). They were a community manager and creative writer for the poetry magazine “Journals Of Color”, where he MC’d their open mic, performed their poem in the open mic, and published 7 of their poems. They also performed at his school’s open mic and performed their poem at a Transgender Awareness event they hosted at their school. Soon, they will be entering Manhattan College as a Computer Science major and Music minor. They are passionate about the LGBTQ+ community, women’s rights and spreading Critical Race Theory.
