Performance Life: LES History Month Free Masterclass With Baba Israel May 15, 2024

In celebration of Lower East Side History Month, Poetic Theater Productions and New York Theatre Workshop are teaming up together to offer a free masterclass with Baba Israel on Wednesday May 15th, at 7PM Eastern Time.

 PERFORMANCE LIFE

Bringing your story onstage through monologue, spoken word or song.

Bring your curiosity and memory to play with bringing autobiographical material into story and verse. our personal stories hold depth and experience and universal resonance when crafted with vulnerability and surprising complementary elements. We’ll focus on personal stories that center around the LES. In these troubled times, to be witnessed with intention and to share with resilience offers so much of what we need right now! Expect to improvise, write, move, beatbox, and reflect and share in both small and big groups!

The workshop is jointly produced by Poetic Theater Productions and New York Theatre Workshop in celebration of Lower East Side History Month.

This masterclass will take place in the rehearsal studio of La Mama’s Great Jones Building (47 Great Jones St).
