Vinny Eden Ortega is a New York City based director/writer/actor. Acting credits include No Entiendo (Pace School of Performing Arts), Gathering Sparks (Theatre Row), and Uzume (LaMama Galleria), and the upcoming web series BFA In. Recently he received Outstanding Featured Actor at Planet Connections Theatre Festivity for the role of Dolon in the world premiere of DRONES. Directing/writing credits include More Than Just Skin, (Poetic License Festival), Gathering Sparks (Exploriment Festival-Bangkok, Thailand), HOPELESS (Planet Connections Theatre Festivity), and 4.48 Psychosis (The Dare Tactic). Ortega will be directing The Dare Tactic’s production of Macbeth this October. He is the Founder/Co-Artistic Director of the non-profit theatre company The Dare Tactic thedaretactic.org. With The Dare Tactic Ortega has written and directed several productions as well as served as Director of Outreach Programming where he has blended the worlds of theatre and medicine, creating original work with dementia patients at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House.
